The Goldia Farm Project

In July 2023, Lions International Trading PLC expanded beyond its core import and distribution operations into direct agricultural production, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth journey. The company was allocated 1,500 hectares of land by the South West Regional State of Ethiopia for large-scale seed multiplication and mixed cropping operations. This strategic venture is known as the Goldia Farm Project.

Goldia Farm is located approximately 650 km from Addis Ababa and 100 km from Mizan Teferi, the capital of the South West Ethiopia Peoples’ Region. The project represents a significant step toward vertical integration, enabling LIT to contribute more directly to national food security and agricultural development.

The farm is equipped with modern agricultural machinery and implements, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and scalable farming operations.
