These chemicals are intended for small-scale farmers, large commercial farms, private farms, unions and farm service centers, which make up a large portion of the country's low-income population.

LIT runs multiple social programs designed to benefit the society it works with. The company’s social responsibility starts with the products it imports. LIT only deals with products that have low to no environmental impact and benefit the end users in the short and long term. All the chemicals go through a strict vetting process that ensures the products are Eco-friendly and of the required quality.

LIT also has a strict price control mechanism in place designed to benefit small scale farmers especially for insecticides, fungicides and herbicide chemicals. LIT runs a free on location training and product use demonstration program for the end users throughout the country by highly trained professionals on how to best use the chemicals in order to optimize the chemical use and maximize their productivity.

Besides the above mentioned programs, LIT support the public schools around its headquarters by providing uniforms and school materials to students of low income backgrounds. It also provides sporting goods to the school and rehabilitates the playing fields. During national disasters (such as the Dire Dawa flood of 2006, the displacement of 600,000 people due to violence in 2017) LIT provides considerable financial aid to affected families through government relief programs. LIT also runs a sponsorship program that funds agri cultural research and individual researchers to study and publish their works on a national and international levels.
